Labour and Culture Party warns of revolt if they dare to scrap the province

Kathmandu. Labour and Culture Party lawmaker Aren Rai said scrapping of the province would not be acceptable. Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives, he warned not to dare to dissolve the province in the name of constitution amendment and tamper with democracy, federalism and secularism.

“If the constitution is to be amended, then one-third of your women’s rights are guaranteed in the constitution, it should be increased to 50 percent,” he said.

The constitution promulgated in 2072 BS in favour of uplifting indigenous nationalities, Dalits, Madhesis, Muslims, Tharus, oppressed and backward communities, students, workers and peasants, should be amended by reconsidering the rights of the indigenous nationalities, Dalits, Madhesis, Muslims, Tharu, oppressed and backward communities. ’

He said that if democracy is tampered with in the name of constitution amendment, there will be another revolt against the rulers living in Singha Durbar. He also demanded that the Prime Minister’s statement be corrected.
