Kathmandu. Deputy leader of the CPN-UML Parliamentary Party, Padma Aryal, has proposed to limit the use of social media by children.

Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives, she gave the example of Australia setting an age limit for children to use social media and said that Nepal should not delay.

“Today, our society is being distorted through technology and social media. Society has become very chaotic. In the same family, there is no situation for children to sit together with their parents and watch TikTok. I don’t want to see Facebook. This is the kind of situation that is happening. We are thrilled to see the fight between the wife and the husband. Today, many husbands and wives are divorced. The family is broken. Society is in disarray. ’

He feels that he has lost the originality of children today.

“The energy to work is dead,” she added. I’m used to staying in the room. The question is what the future holds. Australia has set an age limit for children to use social media. Many other countries are also moving forward with different standards and limits. Now it’s too late for us. ’

She urged the government to set standards and classification for children in the use of social media.
