RPP lawmakers have not been relieved of their posts in Bagmati District, claims RPP leader Gyanendra Shahi

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Spokesperson Gyanendra Shahi has said that the lawmakers of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) are still in the Bagmati Province Assembly. He claimed that the lawmakers were not relieved of their posts.

Writing a message on social media, he said that the lawmakers of Bagmati Province were not elected and the party has only submitted an application to the Bagmati Province Assembly Secretariat for action.

“A lawmaker cannot be relieved of his post just by submitting an application, and it would not be appropriate to publicize that he has been relieved of his post until the Speaker has formally announced his removal from his post as per the formal decision of the Speaker or the Election Commission as per the legal process,” he said, adding, “How justified is it to make news that he has been relieved of his post until he is relieved of his post by the concerned body and spread a wrong message throughout the country

?”

He said that the party’s authoritative people and responsible leaders have started spreading misinformation without understanding the facts, which will not strengthen the party.

“The party can take action, but submitting an application for action does not mean that a lawmaker has been relieved of his post,” he said, adding, “More importantly, they are directly elected lawmakers by the people, the basis of their position is the people’s vote.” So let’s talk about facts, not emotions.
