Ramadan begins (seven photos)

Kathmandu. Ramadan, the main festival of Islam, has begun. During this festival, Muslims observe fasting for a month.

The festival, which starts in the ninth month of the Hijri Sambat and lasts for a month, is observed from sunrise to sunset without drinking water. Usually, after completing their regular work, they go to the mosque in the afternoon for a month to offer namaz.
