Kathmandu. The details of Nepalis stranded in the UAE due to transit have been collected.

The details of Nepalis in the UAE while returning to Nepal or going to a third country are being collected due to the current situation. The Department of Consular Services has requested those who are stuck in the UAE and facing difficult situation while going to Nepal after canceling their visas to provide their details.

For this, the department has requested to provide its details online. Passengers stranded at UAE Transit have been requested to provide their details online and through QR codes. An online portal has been brought into operation for the rescue and assistance of Nepalis facing problem due to the war between Iran and the United States of America.

Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ramji Khadka, said around 250 Nepalis are currently stranded in transit. This number is expected to reach thousands, said Khadka.

According to information received from Abu Dhabi and Kuwait, around 250 Nepalis have been transited. He said that the responsibility of bringing them to Nepal or sending them to the destination will also be the responsibility of the airlines concerned.

He said that arrangements have been made for food and lodging on a temporary basis until the flight resumes there and works are being done to take them to their destinations with priority once the sky opens.
