UML General Secretary congratulates RSP and Balen, urges them to work as per people’s expectations

Kathmandu. CPN-UML General Secretary and candidate for the House of Representatives from Dang-2, Shankar Pokhrel has congratulated the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for winning the 2082 general elections.

Making his views public through social media on Monday, he said that the people voted for the Rastriya Janajatantra Party (RSP) with the expectation of change in this election. “The mandate of the general election 2082 has come in favour of the Rastriya Swatantra Party. The people have voted with the belief that something new will happen. ’

He also extended best wishes to all the elected representatives including the proposed prime ministerial candidate of the party, Balen Shah, for their successful tenure.

Stating that the party leaders and cadres had worked hard in the constituency where he is contesting in Dang-2, he expressed gratitude to the voters for their support and cooperation. But he admits that his efforts have not been successful due to the wave of change.

“The party leaders and cadres worked hard in the constituency where I contested this election. Well-wishers and relatives also gave equal support and support. But in the face of the wave of change, our efforts could not succeed,” he said.

On the occasion, Pokharel congratulated Joint General Secretary of Rastriya Swatantra Party Bipin Acharya on his election from Dang-2 and wished for a successful term. Stating that victory and defeat are natural in the democratic process, he urged not to be disappointed.

“Victory and defeat are natural in the democratic process, as the sentiment of the song ‘Life is a defeat, victory keeps on winning, rivers keep flowing while overcoming obstacles’. I heartily request one and all to continue to discharge their duties with positive thinking without being disappointed,” Pokharel said.

After the resounding success of the Rastriya Swatantra Party across the country in this general election, even the top leaders of the old political parties have started interpreting it as a sign of people’s desire for change.
