Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s decision to appoint his own personal secretary at National Trust for Nature Conservation

Kathmandu.  Prime Minister Sushila Karki has appointed his personal secretary Adarsha Kumar Shrestha to the National Trust for Nature Conservation.

Activists have protested against this decision, saying that it is against the spirit of the youth movement. Coordinator of Gen-G Front, Raksha Bam, said that the present government has set a wrong precedent like the then government. Similarly, former minister Mahabir Pun has said that it was wrong for the Prime Minister to appoint his own chief personal secretary. Pun also urged Shrestha not to take up the post of Prime Minister if he did not tarnish the Prime Minister’s reputation in the dust. He said that the old parties have been destroyed due to this kind of nepotism and favoritism and if the new parties work in the same manner, the new parties will also face the same fate.

Prime Minister Karki, who is also the patron of the PADT, on Thursday nominated her personal secretary Shrestha as the chairman of the PADT for the next 5 years.
