‘It is our responsibility to work without hurting people’s trust’: Speaker

Kathmandu. Speaker Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal has stressed that the people’s representatives should work with honesty, honesty and responsibility as per the people’s expectation.

Stating that the people have trusted us with the responsibility of representing the party in the 11th Inter-Legislature Conference held at Tikapur of Sudurpaschim Province, he said that the people should work without hurting the people’s trust.

He said, “The people have given the responsibility of representation out of trust. It is our responsibility to work in a way that does not hurt the people’s trust. ’

Speaker Aryal stressed the need of coordination, experience sharing and collaboration among the provincial assemblies for strengthening federalism. He was of the view of developing a culture of time management, use of digital system and deliberations centered on issues to make the parliamentary work effective.

He pointed out the need of adequate consultation with stakeholders to make the law formulation process participatory, transparent and people-oriented and that the monitoring by the committees of the Federal Parliament should be systematic, transparent and result-oriented.

Speaker Aryal handed over the message to the Speaker of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly. The upcoming 12th Inter-Legislature Conference is to be held in Karnali Province.

The 11th Inter-Legislature Conference held in Tikapur of Sudurpaschim Province concluded by issuing a nine-point message.

The conference has issued important messages including establishing a digital parliament system in all the provincial assemblies, running the functions of the Inter-Legislature Forum Secretariat through the State Assembly Liaison and Coordination Section under the Federal Parliament Secretariat, taking special initiatives to establish the legislative academy for capacity enhancement and forwarding the process of establishing the Parliamentary Budget Office.
