Kathmandu. Gyanendra Shahi, the parliamentary party leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has protested against the non-display of Nepal’s national flag during the meeting of Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle during his visit to India with his Indian counterpart.
He questioned whether Finance Minister Wagle went to India on a personal visit or as the Finance Minister of Nepal.
Shahi asked this question while writing a status on social media. He said that while traveling abroad as the Finance Minister of Nepal, the related rules, policies and diplomatic decorum should be followed.
Shahi wrote, “There is an embassy of Nepal in Delhi, India. But what is the reason for not being able to keep even a Nepali national flag in the bilateral meeting?”
Shahi’s statement is as it is
Mr. Finance Minister, Swarnim Wagle is on a visit to India. During the meeting with your counterpart, the Indian Finance Minister, the meeting was held without the national flag of Nepal.
Mr. Finance Minister, are you going for a visit personally or as the Finance Minister of Nepal?
If you go on a foreign trip as the Finance Minister of Nepal, then there are some rules, policies, and diplomatic decorum. There is an embassy of Nepal in Delhi, India. But what is the reason that even a Nepali national flag could not be kept there?
