Over 2400 drivers punished for drunk traffic in Kathmandu in a month, 577 road accidents

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police have taken action against 2,447 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol and 18 for driving under the influence of alcohol in the month of February.

According to the monthly statistics, 577 road accidents took place in the valley, in which 15 people died and 695 were injured.TAG_OPEN_p_5 The main causes of the accident were reckless driving, over-speeding and drunk driving.
