Kathmandu. Chitwan police have arrested TikToker and YouTuber Ratan Karki.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Khanal, information officer at the District Police Office, Chitwan, the police arrested him for posting videos promoting the candidacy during the silence period.
Police contacted Karki after he was informed that Khanal had posted videos of candidates of different political parties during the silence period.
“We have called him for questioning after the video was posted during the silence period,” DSP Khanal said.
Tiktokar Karki was living in Japan. He returned to Nepal a few days ago and made a video of the election atmosphere and posted it on social media including Tiktok and Facebook.
