Kathmandu. Police have arrested two persons on the charge of their involvement in human trafficking in Kaski.
A team of police deployed from the District Police Office, Kaski and Ward Police Office, Baidam arrested two persons acting on a tip-off that they were involved in illicit activities at various eateries at Pokhara Metropolitan City-8, Jalpa Road.
The arrestees have been identified as Radhe Shyam Shah, 24, of India and Khemu Thapa, 28, of Kathekhola Rural Municipality-4 in Baglung.
During the preliminary investigation, it has come to light that the victim women used to take money from the men who came to the hotel and forced her to spend the night and did immoral work. Police have also rescued four victims.
Police have remanded them in custody for 7 days from the Kaski District Court on the charge of human trafficking and smuggling.
