Kathmandu. U.S. President Donald Trump has said the U.S. and Israel’s military operations against Iran are “going well.” He also warned that Iran should not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Trump said that Iran has suffered a lot of damage from the attacks so far. He said it would take Iran at least 10 years to rebuild the damage caused by the bombings. “We’ve done a good job. Even if they retreat now, it will take decades to recover the damage,” he said.
“We need to take more drastic and lasting steps to ensure that this situation does not happen again,” Trump said. He said more pressure should be put on Iran. At the same time, US Vice President J.D. Vance said that there is a threat from various militia groups and terrorist organizations operating in the Iranian region, and that such groups need to be neutralized. “There is a lot of terrorist activity out there, we need to eliminate these groups as soon as we can find them,” he said.
U.S. and Israeli forces are continuing to attack Iranian military installations and missile bases. The US military said it had used 5,000 pounds of deep penetrator bombs to attack missile bases near the Strait of Hormuz. Tensions in the Middle East are escalating and there are growing concerns that it could affect international security and energy supplies.
