Kathmandu. Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday, Labour and Culture Party lawmaker Dhruba Raj Rai said that the people’s voice should be heard effectively in the parliament.

Lawmaker Rai said that he got to hear his views from the Prime Minister’s rostrum only after the agitation and stressed on the need of practical results in the people’s issues.

He said, “When we were agitating, we finally got to hear the voice of the Prime Minister in the rostrum. The main goal is not only to come here and speak out, but to get results. ’

Rai said that although he had raised the issue of damage caused by the storm in the parliament, no concrete progress has been made in it.

“I raised the issue of storm damage in Parliament, but nothing happened. Something has to happen,” he said.

He was of the view that the parliament should be run in a systematic manner as per the rules and arrogance should not be seen in the government near two-thirds majority. He also said that there is a need to raise many issues of the people in the parliament.
