Kathmandu. The Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, which was called for relief and rescue after the floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on August 26, has a total reserve of Rs 11.98 billion.
Out of the amount deposited in the fund, 9 commercial banks have deposits of Rs 8,78,82,58,304. Similarly, two commercial banks have deposits of $2,11,43,427.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister, Rs 1 billion has been released to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) for relief and rescue in flood-hit areas.
The amount has been collected from home and abroad following the government’s call to the public for relief and rehabilitation following the floods.
