Dhurmus-Suntali’s new comedy serial ‘Ma Ta Marchhu Ki Kya Ho’ to be aired from Friday

Kathmandu. Famous comedians Sitaram Kattel ‘Dhurmus’ and Kunjana Ghimire ‘Suntali’ have produced a new comedy serial ‘Ma Ta Marchhu Ki Kya Ho’ from America, which will start airing from September 26. Although the broadcast date was set two weeks ago, the series was stopped after the country suffered a huge loss of life and property due to the sudden floods.

He informed that this serial, produced by Dhurmus Suntali Media, will be aired every week on Friday at 8.15 pm Nepali time. The series will be aired in Nepalese America on Friday at 10.30 am and will be broadcast on Dhurmus Suntali YouTube channel. The name ‘Ma Ta Ta Marchu Ki Kya Ho’ is taken from the dialogues and thego that became popular in the past of Dhurmus.

According to Sitaram Kattel, the director of the serial, which is centered in the Raleigh area of North Carolina, USA, the serial has been shot in various places of North Carolina including Raleigh, Cary, Holly Springs, High Point, Greensboro, Charlotte. Veteran comedian Mohan Mishra will also be seen in the lead role in the serial.

Dinesh Karki, Shankar Raj Wagle, Samyam Lamichhane, Manika Chaulagain, Chuda Dhimal, Dharma Bharti, Subhadra Acharya and other actors will be seen in the serial. Through this serial, Sitaram and Kunjana have also made their daughter Subihani Kattel debut as a child artist. The old hero of the film, Jeevan Luitel, will also be seen in a guest role in this serial.

The cinematographer of the show is Raju KC and the music is composed by Rajendra Bajgain, with lyrics by Aashish Abiral, lyrics by Prakash Punj, music by Rajendra Bajgain and editing by Rajendra Manandhar.

The production team has said that the serial will not be limited to entertainment only. It will present the struggles, successes, achievements, opportunities and challenges of Nepalis living in America, as well as the lifestyle, social and cultural environment, activities of the Nepali community and various stories of expatriate life in a humorous way.

Dr. Chandra Giri, a scientist and litterateur of the US government, says that this series is expected to bring the real situation related to the daily life of Nepalis living abroad to the audience through humor. Dr. Giri, who is also the advisor of this comedy serial. Giri says that it is not a small thing to live abroad and regularly bring art to Nepali speakers around the world. He says, “It is a commendable work in itself to start art from here on a regular basis while living abroad. It is necessary to cooperate with all Nepalis living abroad.” ’

Sitaram and Kunjana have been active in art since coming to America. They have also produced advertisements for about a dozen Nepali businesses and organizations during this period. “Mainly, now the audience will be able to watch our serials regularly,” Sitaram said, “We want to give a message that we can continue our art and creativity wherever we are.” ’
