Gyanendra Shahi: ‘Let’s prepare before disaster strikes, not rescue after disaster’

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) parliamentary party leader Gyanendra Shahi has warned of a huge loss if the floods and landslides in Budhigandaki and Bhotekoshi rivers are not learned on time.

He said that the work of relocating the vulnerable settlements on the river banks to safer places should be started immediately.

“The horrific situation witnessed by the Budhi Gandaki and Bhotekoshi rivers can cause huge damage if we are still unaware of it,” he said through social media. We are at high risk of glacial and glacial lake outbursts.

Shahi also urged everyone to be vigilant to minimize the damage caused by a possible disaster. He said that after the disaster, not rescue, let’s prepare before the disaster strikes. Let everyone be aware.
