Journalist Dinesh Sitaula passes away

. Dinesh Sitaula, the outgoing president of Film Journalists Association of Nepal, has passed away. According to a press release issued by Grande Hospital in Kathmandu, he passed away at 12:45 pm today.

Sitaula fainted while participating in the election campaign of senior leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former mayor of Kathmandu Balendra Shah (Balen) in Achham.TAG_OPEN_p_5 He was immediately airlifted to Kathmandu by a Nepal Army helicopter and admitted to Grande Hospital.

The hospital said in a statement that his neurological condition did not improve even after 48 hours of treatment despite being in critical condition.TAG_OPEN_p_4 According to the hospital, the ‘apnea test’ conducted as per the medical protocol was positive and it was confirmed that he was not breathing on his own and died on the basis of that.
