5 killed as bus plunges into Tamakoshi River

. At least 5 people died on the spot when a passenger bus plunged into the Tamakoshi River at Seleghat in Ramechhap district today.

The bus (Ba TAG_OPEN_p_5 9975) en route to Ragani of Okhaldhunga from Kathmandu met with an accident on Tuesday. According to police, the bus fell into the Tamakoshi River after losing control from the road.

According to a police officer involved in the rescue, 5 people died on the spot.TAG_OPEN_p_4 Similarly, 6 people were rescued and sent to hospital for treatment.

Rescue operation is underway with the help of police and locals and further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway, police said.TAG_OPEN_p_3
