Ballot paper printing in final stage: Remaining 5 lakh ballot papers to be printed by today evening

Kathmandu. The printing of ballot papers for the House of Representatives election has reached the final stage. The Janak Education Materials Centre Limited has said that the remaining 5 lakh ballot papers will be printed in the day.

According to Yadunath Poudel, executive managing director of the center, the remaining ballot papers for Bagmati Province would be printed by this evening. Of the 20.3 million first-past-the-post ballot papers to be printed, the remaining 5 lakh ballots are in the final stage.

According to Poudel, all the ballot papers will be packed and transported to the remaining districts by tomorrow. The Centre has completed its work by printing 13-15 lakh ballot papers on a daily basis.

The printing and packing of 208,30,000 ballot papers under the proportional representation (PR) category has been completed and the Election Commission has already dispatched sample ballot papers to various places.

All the ballot papers have been distributed in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and work is underway to reach the remaining constituencies by March 12.
