53 stolen two-wheelers recovered in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office on Thursday handed over 53 two-wheelers (motorcycles and scooters) that were stolen from different places of Kathmandu Valley to their owners. Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office Senior Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari handed over 31 motorcycles and 22 scooters to the owners amidst a programme held at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office today.

The traffic police had found the vehicles in Kandaghari, Swayambhu, Durbarmarg, Chapagaun, Nepaltar, New Bus Park, Balkumari, Lokanthali, Basantapur, Kalimati, Bouddha, Gokarna, Mulpani, Sukedhara, Sundarijal, Thankot, Sorhakhutte, Kapan and Chagal in course of the search based on the application received at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and other media ।

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police has handed over 296 vehicles, including 53 to the owners, since mid-July. Similarly, 29 people involved in the theft along with 16 two-wheelers have been taken under control and sent to different police premises and police circles for necessary action. After taking the responsibility of the vehicle, the owners of the vehicles expressed happiness and thanked the traffic police collectively. In the fiscal year 2080.081, the traffic police have searched 417 two-wheelers and handed over 503 two-wheelers to the concerned owners.
