NOC claims to have increased import of cooking gas in view of elections

Kathmandu. Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the import of LP Gas (LPG) in view of the upcoming elections.

Chandika Bhatta, executive director of Nepal Oil Corporation, said that the loading of cooking gas from the Indian Oil Corporation is increasing at a high rate to avoid shortage of cooking gas in the market. According to him, the highest volume of gas was loaded this year.

Bhatta said 138 bullets of LPG were loaded in a single day yesterday. Consumers have complained that cooking gas is still not available in the market. However, the corporation has claimed that there is no shortage and problem as it has come out and the supply of gas will be regular even during the election period.
