Govt to provide medical treatment to security personnel deployed during election

Kathmandu. The government has decided to provide free medical treatment to security personnel and election police injured during the upcoming elections.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday decided to bear the expenses incurred in the treatment of those injured during the elections, said Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal. “The government will bear the medical expenses of the security personnel and election police who were injured during the election,” Aryal said.

It has also been decided to provide financial assistance to the family in case of death of any security personnel during the period, he added.

“If they die during this period, financial assistance will be provided to their families,” the cabinet decision reads.
