Online portal launched for rescue and assistance of stranded Nepalis

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The government has launched an online portal for collecting details of Nepalis stranded in the Middle East due to the latest situation and for providing necessary assistance and rescue.

The Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched an online portal for Nepalis in the Middle East after the airstrikes between Israel, the United States and Iran.

An online portal has been launched to collect information about their condition and rescue them if necessary.

The Department has launched an online portal for the Nepalis residing in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, among other countries.

The Department has started collecting details of Nepalis in their respective countries through the link or . For this, the Nepali embassies in the concerned countries have requested the Nepalis to update the details as soon as possible.

In the first phase, the Nepalis stranded at the airports of the respective countries returning to Nepal from different countries, Nepalis who have their visa expired or who are in a difficult situation after canceling their visa to return to Nepal from the company have been requested to enter their personal details, contact address and condition through the portal.

After providing information through the online portal, the concerned bodies can coordinate and provide necessary assistance.

The government has started a systematic data collection and rescue coordination initiative through the portal at a time when Nepali workers and passengers in the Gulf region including the UAE are worried due to the ongoing tension in the Middle East.

The embassies in the concerned countries have been requesting Nepalis in case of emergency to contact them only through official channels and not to spread rumors.
