Kathmandu. Police have arrested two persons on the charge of torching vehicles in Maharajgunj and Naikap of Kathmandu. The arrestees have been identified as Suman Bohora, 28, of Birendranagar Municipality, Surkhet, currently residing in Chandragiri Municipality-6 and Krishna Mijar, 55, of Chandragiri-6.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Santosh Khadka of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office told Ratopati that the accused were arrested from Thankot.
A Toyota car (BAA 2836) and a Maruti van (Ba 7 Cha 1401) were found set on fire near the office of Sipradi Trading at Naikap on Tuesday morning.
According to the preliminary investigation of the police, they were involved in the arson of the vehicle. SSP Khadka said that they were found involved in the Durga Prasain-led Mega Campaign to Save the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen. A pamphlet of the campaign was found at the scene where the vehicle was set on fire.
