Police have arrested Ramesh Mandal, son-in-law of former Speaker of Madhes Province Ram Chandra Mandal, on the charge of changing the number plate of a government vehicle and making it private. According to sources, he was taken under control from Mithila Bihari municipality-Purandaha area in course of a special security check by the Armed Police Force.

Armed Police Force (APF) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Madhesh Province, Krishna Dhakal, confirmed that the vehicle and its driver were impounded. “We have received reports that our team has impounded the vehicle and the driver.
