Polling staff evicted from polling booth in Chitwan after asking for vote in bell

Kathmandu. CHITWAN: An employee of Madi Secondary School in Madi Municipality of Chitwan’s constituency-3 was taken under control by security personnel after he was asked to vote on the bell.

Buddhi Sagar Poudel, office assistant at the Area Administration Office, Madi, asked the voters to cast their vote at the bell to influence the voters.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Govinda Puri confirmed that Poudel was taken out of the polling centre. He was posted as an election employee at booth number B of Madi Secondary School.

Voting has been going on continuously after he was removed from the polling station for trying to influence the voters. Representatives of political parties had demanded his expulsion after learning that the staffers were trying to influence the voters.
