One killed in elephant attack

Kathmandu. A man has died after being attacked by wild elephants at the Srijana community forest area in Belbari municipality-10.

The deceased has been identified as Bishnu Tamang, 45, of Belbari municipality-11, according to Rajiv Giri, chief of the Area Police Office. Tamang was attacked by an elephant while he was returning from the jungle on Thursday evening.

Following the incident, his body was found in the Srijana Community Forest area located two kilometres away from the East-West Highway at Belbari municipality-10 in course of a search by his relatives and locals, police in-charge Giri said.
