Kathmandu. In Rautahat-2, Nepali Congress candidate Dr. Mohd. Firdosh Alam has been elected to the House of Representatives. He secured 29,528 votes in the election to the House of Representatives, according to election officer Sitaram Khadka.
Newly elected Dr. His nearest rival was CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Kiran Sah who got 18,442 votes.
According to the final results of the constituency, Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Sheikh Sagir got 9,325 votes, Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal’s Ramashish Ray Yadav got 2,960 votes and Mohammad Atiullah of CPN-UML got 2,382 votes.
Of the total 108,872 voters in the constituency, 71,546 cast their ballots. According to Election Officer Khadka, 66,144 votes were valid while 5,402 votes were invalid.
