Kathmandu. The newly-elected members of the National Assembly have been sworn in. Chairman of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-elected members.
The election was held on January 24 for 18 members of the National Assembly.
According to the Election Commission, Roshani Meche, Somnath Portel and Sunil Bahadur Thapa were elected to the National Assembly from Koshi Province on January 24.
Likewise, Rekha Kumari Jha, Dharmendra Paswan, Ranjit Karna and Mahantha Thakur from Madhes Province, Geeta Devkata and Prem Prasad Dangal from Bagmati Province, Jagat Timilsina and Samjhana Devkota from Gandaki Province and Ram Kumari Jhakri, Chandra Bahadur KC and Basudev Ghimire from Lumbini Province have been elected.
Likewise, Mina Singh Rakhal and Lalit Jung Shahi from Karnali Province and Leela Kumari Bhandari and Khamma Bahadur Khati from Sudurpaschim Province have been elected.
