Kathmandu. The stock market rose 64.69 points on Thursday. After this increase, the NEPSE index stood at 2877. The market has been on a steady rise since the opening today.
Apart from the NEPSE index of the market, the transaction amount has also increased. The previous day’s turnover was Rs 12.03 billion which increased to Rs 21.22 billion today. Earlier, the transaction was worth Rs 21.5 billion on March 10. Similarly, the highest turnover of Rs 29.95 billion was recorded on August 14, 2081. While the price of 240 companies increased, 22 declined, while 2 remained unchanged.
The indices of all the groups have increased. The development bank group was the biggest gainer, rising 3.95 percent. Banking 3.16, Finance 1.94, Hotel and Tourism 1.75, Hydropower 2.29, Investment Sectors such as life insurance increased 2.76 per cent, manufacturing and processing 1.89 per cent, microfinance 1.24 per cent, non-life insurance 1.80 per cent, others 1.97 per cent and trading 0.16 per cent.
The value of five companies has increased by 10 percent. The companies which have increased by 10 percent are Corporate Development Bank, Salpa Development Bank, Reliance Spinning Mills, Solu Hydropower and Hotel Forest Inn. Likewise, Sanjen Hydropower Ltd (8), Upper Tamakoshi Bank (7.53 per cent), NIC Asia Bank (6.09 per cent), Citizens Bank (5.83 per cent) and Machhapuchchhre Bank (5.58 per cent) surged in the review period.
Mahuli Laghubitta was the biggest loser by 2.97 percent. The most traded companies today are Ngadi Group, National Hydropower, Reedi Power, Ankhukhola Hydropower and Upper Tamakoshi.
