Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC) Spokesperson Devraj Chalise has expressed his views on the present ideological situation of the party and the election results.

Briefing about the party’s central committee meeting today, leader Pokharel said although the party’s ideological influence was strong in the long political background in the past, the message has now that it has become weak in that area.

He said, “In the past, there were areas where the Nepali Congress had an ideological monopoly in the long political background. But now the message is coming whether these areas have been interfered with or shocked. Chalise made it clear that the people voted for a change in the situation and not for a change in the system. “It has been established that change is possible not only through rebellion and violence, but also through the democratic process and vote,” he said.

“This election did not change the system, it was the people’s vote to change the situation. It has also been established that change is possible, but change is possible not through rebellion and violence, but through votes. ’

At the same time, he admitted that he could not win the trust of the voters due to his failure to effectively explain to the voters about the changes that will take place after being associated with the party and not being affiliated to the party.

He said, “We have not been able to train them on what will change and what difference will come in the situation after joining the party and in the absence of it. We could not win the trust of the voters because we could not convince them effectively. The election seemed to be an unresponsive vote rather than a candidate’s choice. ’
