Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 16 persons on the charge of obstructing public service delivery by renewing vehicle registration books at various transport offices in Kathmandu.
Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested 16 people with Rs 122,000 in cash and 53 billbooks, according to the District Police Range, Kathmandu.
Superintendent of Police at the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, said that necessary investigation is underway.
The arrestees have been identified as Bal Bahadur Sunar (36), Bigyan Rai (39), Sanjay Rajwayak (31), Bimal Tamang (36), Ramesh Karki (35), Suman Prasad Shrestha (60), Uddhav Khanal (39) and Kalpana Lamsal (36).
The arrestees have been identified as Pasang Tamang (25), Sunil Lama (30), Sudip Magar (23), Buddha Tamang (20), Sumesh Nepali (26), Aman Tamang (24), Ujjwal Singh (18) and Dilip Rai (26) from Police Circle Thankot.
Police said they are currently investigating the matter and will bring the people involved to book.
