Ravi makes emotional speech in House of Representatives, apologizes to Dalit community

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has apologized to the Dalit community from the rostrum of the House of Representatives. Addressing the first meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Lamichhane apologized with folded hands for the centuries-old injustice.

“Khagendra Sunar apologized when he was confused whether it was a mistake or not. Did we apologize for the injustice done to Khagendra Sunar for centuries?” he asked. ’

On behalf of the government, he also apologized to the Dalit community. “This government has been demanding a public and collective apology for centuries of discrimination, injustice and atrocities,” he said.

According to him, the discrimination faced by the Dalit community till date is not an injustice but an organized crime. “Now, no Nepali will feel humiliated on the basis of caste,” he said.
