Supreme Court issues interim order to issue student admission notice only after commencement of academic session

Kathmandu. The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order to issue the notice of student admission only after the commencement of the academic session.

A single bench of Justice Bal Krishna Dhakal on Friday issued the interim order asking the government to publish the notice and programmes for admission only after the commencement of the academic session from April 1.

In a notice published by the Center for Education Development and Human Resource Development, Sanothimi, on 5, it was directed to conduct the annual examination and conduct the enrollment program after the start of the new academic session 2083 after the publication of the results.

“It is seen from the documents attached with the file that the student admission notice has been published in various print and electronic media in recent days in violation of the said Regulations and the notice,” reads the order. The Supreme Court has issued an interim order in the name of the defendants under Rule 49 (2) (a) of the Supreme Court Regulations, 2074 to publish the notice and program of student admission only after the receipt of the certificate as per Rule 78 (1) of the Education Rules, 2059 and the commencement of the academic session as per Rule 84 (4) of the Education Rules, 2059. ’
