Kathmandu. On the first trading day of the week, the stock market fell by double digits. The NEPSE index decreased by 34.63 points to close at 2,704.08 points today. The stock market fell for the fourth consecutive trading day.
Today, the indices of all groups except microfinance declined, while the indices of the manufacturing and processing group fell by more than 2.5 percent. Shares of 240 companies fell today and 27 others rose. However, the shares of Rasuwagadhi Hydropower and Self-Employment Laghubitta remained unchanged today.
Shares of Corporate Development Bank fell the most by 12.5 percent today. Overall, the shares of Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Ltd. rose by 15 percent on the day.
Today, the transaction amount has also decreased. A total of 174,000 units of shares of 341 companies were traded at Rs 4.26 billion on Thursday against the turnover of Rs 4.91 billion on Thursday.
