Two arrested for brandishing weapons on TikTok

Kathmandu. Banke : Police in Banke have arrested two persons on the charge of spreading fear and terror in the society by posting a video with weapons on social networking site.

The arrested are Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-Ward No. Ajay Kumal, 30, of Duduwa Rural Municipality-4 The deceased has been identified as Anil Khatik, 26, of Ward No. 4. According to police, they used their TikTok IDs to hold weapons in their hands and displayed unusual activities that terrorized the public.

According to the District Police Office, Banke, Ajay Kumal had posted such videos using the TikTok ID of Ajay Magar and Anil Khatik ‘Anil Sonkar’. They were arrested by the police after they posted videos that could create a sense of insecurity among the general public and terrorize the society.

Taking serious note of such activities that disturb public peace and security, the police have taken legal action against them. According to Banke Police Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepak Patali, the arrestees have been produced before the case officer and further investigation is underway.
