‘Sister organizations that remain vacant till May 15 will get leadership’: Gagan Thapa

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa has said that the sister organizations that are lying vacant till May 15 will get the leadership.

He made the remark while addressing a province and local level gathering at Laukahi of Sunsari on Friday.

President Thapa said that there was a delay in the selection of the leadership of the sister organizations which were lying vacant as they were holding consultations with the disgruntled leaders.

“The decision of the sister organizations will be finalized by May 15,” he said. ’

The central working committees of five of the 13 sister organizations were automatically dissolved after the meeting of the Central Work Execution Committee held on May 5 did not take the decision to extend the term.

Nepal Students Union (NSU), Nepal Tarun Dal, Nepal Women’s Association, Nepal Dalit Association and Nepal Democratic Sports Association are among the sister organisations that will be automatically dissolved.

Of them, only Nepal Women’s Association has got new leadership. President Thapa had nominated Meena Kumari Kharel of Chitwan to the post on May 25.
