Kathmandu. The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has decided to withdraw its support to the Madhes Province government.

According to a highly-placed source in the NCP, the CPN (Maoist) is withdrawing its support to the government, concluding that the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML are trying to trouble them within the alliance.

The NCP leaders are preparing to meet the Province Chief shortly and submit a letter regarding withdrawal of support.

Earlier, a new alliance was formed between Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and CPN-UML, keeping the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal and Janamat Party out of the government. However, within 4 days of the formation of the new equation, the alliance is in crisis.

With the withdrawal of support, there are indications that the power equation in Madhes Province will change again.
