Traffic action collects Rs 1.1 million revenue in 24 hours

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Traffic Police have taken action against 2,453 drivers in course of checking in different places of Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

A total of Rs 11.51 lakh revenue has been collected from this action.

A total of 2,453 drivers were taken for driving under the influence of alcohol, 238 for ride-sharing, 184 for red light, 186 for speeding, 14 for lane cross, 100 for road pavement, 119 for not using horn, 139 for one-way traffic and 1,368 for others, said Naresh Raj Subedi, Superintendent of Police (SP) at the Kathmandu Traffic Police Office.

According to him, action was taken against 2,453 drivers violating traffic rules in the Kathmandu Valley in the period of 24 hours. A total of Rs 11.51 lakh has been deposited in revenue from this action. ”

The traffic police have urged the passengers to immediately inform the nearest police office, traffic control room hotline no 103 and police hotline no 100 if suspecting that the driver has been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
