Cabinet meeting called to approve budget

Kathmandu. The government is preparing its annual budget for the fiscal year 2083/84 today. A meeting of the Council of Ministers has been called at 2:3 pm today to approve the budget before presenting it.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers to be held in Singha Durbar will finalize and approve the budget statement. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle is scheduled to present the budget for the coming fiscal year at 4:00 pm.

As per the constitutional provision, the government has to unveil the budget for the new fiscal year on May 29.
