Kathmandu. Eight people have died after an Air Force plane crashed in Southern California.
The plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Edwards Air Force Base on Monday morning. According to the BBC, the plane crashed during a routine test mission.
Air Force Colonel James Hayes confirmed that all eight people on board were killed, including soldiers, government employees and government contractors.
Earlier, the air base had said that there were initial indications that no one was likely to survive. Colonel Hayes said the families of the victims had been notified and the identity of the deceased would be released in 24 hours.
