PM calls meeting of Constitutional Council

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balen Shah, who is also the chairman of the Constitutional Council, has called the meeting for 5 pm on Friday.

According to a source close to the secretariat of the Council, the issue of appointing vacant posts in the Election Commission is on the agenda so far.

Other agendas are yet to be decided, sources said.

The meeting of the Constitutional Council has been held only once only for the appointment of the Chief Justice after Balen Shah was appointed as the Prime Minister.

Apart from the Election Commission, some posts in the CIAA, Public Service and other constitutional bodies are vacant.
