Identity card and government uniform mandatory during office hours

Kathmandu. The government has directed the civil servants working in all public bodies to wear the uniform prescribed by the Government of Nepal and the identity card issued by the concerned office during office hours.

The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Federal Affairs and General Administration on Thursday issued a circular to all ministries, commissions, secretariats, Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers and local levels urging them to implement such provision.

According to the Ministry, the decision on July 14 based on the letter of the National Vigilance Center dated July 12 has directed to make arrangements to use the type and color of the uniform and identity card issued by the concerned office during office hours.

The circular has requested all public bodies to ensure compliance with the uniform and identity card prescribed by the employees.
