Application for Korean Language Test opens for 7,200

Kathmandu. Applications for the Korean language test are open. The EPS Korea chapter of the Department of Foreign Employment under the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment has invited applications for the Korean language test.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Nepal and Korea, South Korea has invited applications for 7,200 quota under the Employment Permit System (EPS).

HRD Korea has demanded 5,000 employees in the productive sector, 2,000 in agriculture and livestock, 100 in service sector and 100 in forest sector. On the basis of this, EPS Korea branch has called for applications for the language test.

Applications can be submitted online from July 27, 2026 to August 2, 2026. The applicant must not have completed 18 years of age and not exceeded 39 years of age, has not been convicted of a criminal case by a court of law, has not returned from Korea after living illegally in South Korea, has not been barred by the Government of Nepal from going to other countries and should not have stayed in Korea on E-9 or E-10 visa for five years or more.

After the results of the first phase of the language test, the next phase of the examination will be held. You have to pay $28 for the exam. The validity of the candidates who pass the final examination will be 2 years from the date of publication of the result. Passing the Korean language test is not a guarantee of employment in Korea.
