‘Ghostly’ to release across the US on Friday, more than 1,000 shows in its first week

Kathmandu. The Nepali movie ‘Gaunthali’ is going to be released in America on Friday, July 9, 2000. Distribution company Seven Seas International said in a statement that the film will be released in 56 cities in 26 states in the US with more than 1,000 shows in its first week.

Ahead of the screening, special premieres will be held in three US cities on Thursday. Audiences will be able to watch the film at Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas in Fort Worth, Dallas, Regal Theatre in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Marcus Theatre in Columbus, Ohio.

The film will be screened in 9 theaters in Texas, 7 in Ohio, 4 in California, 4 in New York, 3 in Iowa and 3 in Pennsylvania. There will be 2 halls each in Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Virginia and Washington DC and one each in Alaska, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah and Wisconsin.

The movie is directed by Kapil Rijal and features Arun Chhetri and Simran Khadka in lead roles. The movie also stars Madan Krishna Shrestha, Prakash Ghimire, Luniva Tuladhar, Rabindra Jha, Ishwori Baral, Sanjog Rasaili, Sitadevi Timilsina, Laxminath Timilsina, Rajendra Nepali, Anshu Oli and Prince Nepali.

Based on education, women empowerment and sensitive love story, the film is inspired by the story of senior doctor Bhola Rijal and the real-life struggles of his wife Sarala Rijal. The film poignantly portrays the emotional bond and marital journey between a rural girl who got married at a young age but never gave up his commitment to education and a young man on the autism spectrum.
