Kathmandu. Three people have been arrested in possession of narcotics.
Police have arrested Suman Bhandari, 31, of Nijgadh Municipality-1, Bara in possession of 2,690 tablets of Tramadol and 236 tablets of Nitrazepam from Pharping of Dakshinkali Municipality-5. A police team deputed from the Area Police Office, Pharping arrested him with the drugs.
Police on Monday arrested two persons in possession of 153 grams of brown heroin from Nepalgunj Sub-metropolis-4. The arrestees have been identified as Sushil Bhandari, 30, of ward no. 4 and Arun Kumar Jayaswal, 55, of the same sub-metropolis-10.
A police team deputed from the Narcotics Control Bureau branch office Nepalgunj arrested them with the banned drugs.
Police have recovered 425 grams of brown heroin, Rs 1.80 lakh in cash, Rs 214,000 in Indian currency and a pair of digital scales.
Police said further investigation is underway in this connection.
