Kathmandu. The ‘Hello Sarkar’, which listens to and addresses the grievances of the citizens, is flooded with complaints.
People have been complaining through various multi-channel phones, websites, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, email and other mediums. Likewise, arrangements have been made to send the complaints received through free telephone number 1111 directly to the call center of the concerned ministry or agency. In Hello Sarkar, complaints have increased by 321 percent in one year.
In the last fiscal year 2082/83, the number of complaints has increased by 321 percent compared to the previous fiscal year. According to the office, 16,568 complaints were received in the fiscal year 2081/82 which increased to 69,724 in the fiscal year 2082/83. That is, 53,156 complaints have been added.
Krishna Sapkota, under-secretary of the Hello Sarkar branch, claimed that the number of complaints has increased significantly after the formation of the incumbent government and the expectation from the government is the reason for the increase in complaints. More than 50,000 complaints have been registered in the last three months. A total of 50,721 complaints were received during the period, out of which 39,177 were resolved.
However, the details released by Hello Sarkar do not include the number of complaints received through social networks, Viber, WhatsApp and email.
