Kathmandu. The Industry Minister’s Secretariat has urged the consumers who have at least 15 days of stock of cooking gas at home not to stand in queue unnecessarily.
The Industry Minister’s Secretariat team and the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) are working continuously to control black marketing and artificial shortage of LPG, according to the Secretariat. Meanwhile, a person was arrested from Bhaktapur on the charge of black marketing.
The Secretariat has warned that anyone involved in black marketeering, artificial shortage and irregularities in the pretext of gas shortage would be brought to book.
The Secretariat has said that cooperation from the government, entrepreneurs and consumers is necessary to ease the artificial shortage even when sufficient quantity of LPG is being imported.
The secretariat has also requested each family to purchase only one cylinder of cooking gas at a time in the current situation.
It is expected that the problem of gas supply will be eased within a few days with the patience and responsible behavior of all, according to the Secretariat.
