Consumers who bought goods worth Rs 350 get Rs 1 million reward

Kathmandu. The second fortnightly prize of the month of July has been announced under the Taxpayer Incentive Award.

Finance Minister Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada was speaking at a programme organized by the Inland Revenue Department at the Ministry of Finance. Swarnim Wagle and Finance Secretary Dr. Ghanashyam Upadhyay announced the award.

Among the consumers involved in regular transactions from August 16 to 14, the consumers who purchased goods worth Rs 350 from Ganesh Electronics and Mobile Center received a bumper reward of Rs 1 million as a taxpayer reward.

According to the department, there has been an increase in the number of consumers participating in the award in the first month. A total of 3,57,149 bills of cash transactions have been registered for gifts from August 16 to 31.

Earlier, the number of consumers uploading bills in the first 15 days of August was only 7,077.
